      Beginning my career in the culinary arts at age fifteen, I attended Washburn Trade School from 1989 - 1991. Working extensively in the Hotel and restaurant industry, from 1984 to the present, My culinary experience of more than fifteen years has a profound influence on my style of  bright color, detailed patterns and arrangement . 

        In 1997, my opportunity to observe borosilicate glass blowing became a motivating force for me to begin my own experience with this exquisite medium . I am a self taught artist with six plus years of borosilicate and two years hot shop experience.

       I have studied the creation of larger forms with James R. Wilbat (Deerfield Illinois) and Duncan McClellan (St. Petersburg Florida).  Currently I am working different technique into vessels large and small usi

Wilbat (Deerfield Illinois) and Duncan McClellan (St. Petersburg Florida).  Currently I am working different technique into vessels large and small using graal & sand carving to detail unique pieces , a method incorporated into my repertoire, while studying under Robert A Miskelsen March of 2002.

        In addition,  my great uncle Kirby Carlton a master neon glass artist Who resides in St. Petersburg  Florida , shared his history , knowledge, and his expertise as well as his creativity regarding his artwork which he performed for over sixty years.

        Focusing on creating sharper images through color coordination and precise craftsmanship and paying meticulous attention to detail through out each project. These one of a kind works of art are created through different multi level applications of color, technique and composition.
